Most watches know only what time it is. A perpetual calendar must know something more. Thirty days. Thirty-one. February. Leap year.

The irregular rules humans created to organize the passage of years must somehow be remembered by metal. No computer. No battery. No software. Only geometry. Model Three gives mechanical form to our imperfect measurement of time.

MECHANICAL MEMORY

Human calendars are inconvenient. Months are unequal. February refuses to cooperate. Leap years interrupt the pattern. A perpetual calendar solves this not with software, sensors or electronics, but with geometry. Levers. Cams. Wheels. Springs. Metal remembering something humans invented. The in-house movement, inspired by the Dubois Depraz design, is truly a work of art.

Model Three is a mechanical memory of time.

The Model Three dial includes the following time and calendar elements:

  • Center dial: basic time in hours and minutes,

  • Right subdial: month and date (all prime numbers),

  • Bottom subdial: seconds and moon phase,

  • Left subdial: day of week and day/night indicator,

  • Top subdial: year/leap year.
