BUILT TO FLY

Most aviation watches borrow the mythology of flight. This one went flying with its maker.

Designed by an aircraft engineer. Built by a watchmaker. Tested by the same man. For Paul Roysdon, aviation is not a styling exercise. It predates the watch. Long before making mechanical movements, he was designing aircraft and the systems that control and navigate them. So when Roysdon created a watch called the Aviator, engraving an airplane on the dial would not be enough. It had to fly in his Pitts S2 and withstand a full aerobatic routine with aggressive maneuvering, constant vibration, loads of +6 / -2 G’s, and rotations of 360 deg/sec.
