About Us

Dr. Paul F. Roysdon is an applied mathematician, engineer, author, and self-taught independent watchmaker. He was intrigued by watchmaking because of the precision and simplicity of something that is able to keep time with just springs and gears. He started his watchmaking journey by restoring hundreds of vintage and modern watches and pocket-watches. After many years of restoration work, he embarked on the design and manufacture of his own timepiece, entirely from scratch, and the result was the Model One.

Dr. Roysdon aspires to carry on a great American Watchmaking tradition from the Texas Hill Country.
